Subject Pronouns
Subject pronouns replace the subject (who does the action) in a sentence.

👉 Example:
- Maria is happy → She is happy
Verb “To Be” (Present)
The verb “to be” means in spanish ser / estar.

👉 Examples:
- I am a student.
- She is my friend.

To be: How to use
We use the verb to be to talk about people, animals, and things.
1. Affirmative sentences ✅
Structure:
Subject pronoun + verb “to be” + complement
👉 Examples:
- He is happy.
- We are tired.
2. Negative sentences ❌
Add not after the verb:
👉 Examples:
- I am not tired.
- She is not here.
- They are not ready.
3. Questions ❓
Change the order:
Verb “to be” + subject pronoun
👉 Examples:
- Are you happy?
- Is he your brother?
- Am I late?
4. Short answers
👉 Examples:
- Are you ready? → Yes, I am. / No, I am not.
- Is she here? → Yes, she is. / No, she is not.
